Margaret Gibson Smith (1825-1869) was born on 13 March, 1825 in Paisly, Scotland. Her parents were John Gibson and Mary Davis. She was baptized into the LDS church in 1846 and later on, while crossing the plains of the midwestern United States during her immigration to Utah, she met John B.
